5. Water Hemlock
This plant is the most toxic plant in North America. It looks like a parsnip, but contains cicutoxin, causing convulsions, cramps, vomiting, and death. Even those lucky enough to survive a dosage are often left with amnesia.
A close relative to Water Hemlock is what is famously claimed to have killed Socrates. It would be a good philosophy to avoid this plant!
