Fight Club, 1999. Explained by Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) when explaining the “rules” of fight club to a group of new members. Brad Pitt took his role in this film very seriously, taking lessons in boxing, taekwondo, and grappling to prepare for the film. He even went to a dentist to have his front tooth chipped! This line is often spoofed in TV series and other media. The TV show Scrubs, for example, replaced “Fight Club” with “Pillow Fight Club”, and you can pretty much replace “Fight Club” with anything in normal conversation.
