shaken-not-stirred

2.” Shaken, not stirred.”

“Shaken, not stirred” is a catchphrase of Ian Fleming’s fictional British Secret Service agent James Bond and describes his preference for the preparation of his martini cocktails. First quoted by Bond in “Goldfinger” (1964), this iconic phrase has stood the time of generations, and endured to this day by patient bartenders. Why didn’t he like it shaken? Probably because it dilutes the alcohol more and, based on how much he drinks in the books/movies, he is obviously an alcoholic. Interesting fact: It was actually the villain Dr. No who first spoke that line; but it was Bond who made it famous.
