Boloney Cake

Ingredients

1 lb sliced bologna
3 Tbsp grated onion
An 8 oz pkg of Cream Cheese (softened)
1.5 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
A package of Ritz crackers, a can of Cheese Whiz

Directions

  1. Mix softened cream cheese, onion and Worcestershire sauce. Beat well.
  2. Place a slice of bologna on a plate, spread cheese mix on.
  3. Repeat process until all bologna is used.
  4. Ice like a cake with rest of cheese mixture.
  5. Decorate top and bottom with Cheese Whiz
  6. Cool in refrigerator.
  7. Slice in thin slices and serve on crackers.

Ham and Bananas Hollandaise

Ingredients

6 medium bananas
1/4 cup lemon juice
6 thin slices boiled ham (about 1/2 lb)
3 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 envelopes (1 1/4-oz size) hollandaise sauce mix
1/4 cup light cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Lightly butter 2-quart, shallow baking dish.
  2. Peel bananas; sprinkle each with 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice, to prevent darkening.
  3. Spread ham slices with mustard. Wrap each banana in slice of ham. Arrange in single layer in casserole. Bake 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, make sauce: In small saucepan, combine sauce mix with 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and cream. Heat, stirring, to boiling; pour over bananas. Bake 5 minutes longer, or until slightly golden.

Jellied Chicken

Ingredients

1 pack of unflavored gelatin
1 cube Chicken Bouillon
¼ cup each of cut up celery, onion, green pepper
A handful of pimentos and parsley
½ cup cooked chicken meat

Directions

  1. Soften unflavored gelatin in cold water in blender
  2. Add hot water, chicken bouillon, and cooked chicken-blend it up real good
  3. Pour into a bowl and chill the chicken sludge
  4. Put celery, pimentos, onion, green pepper, and parsley into blender. Blend
  5. Fold into semi-hard chicken sludge
  6. Place in mold and chill until hard

Pizza Hot Dogs

Ingredients

1 package of Hot dogs
1 package of Hot dog buns
1 can of pizza sauce
1 package of shredded cheese

Directions

  1. Cook the hot dogs
  2. Add hot dogs to bun, and place on a cookie sheet
  3. Add Pizza sauce on top of hot dogs, and some shredded cheese
  4. Place in oven at 375 degrees until cheese is melted

Coke Salad

Ingredients

6 ounces cherry-flavored Jell-O
1 cup boiling water, 10 oz Coca-Cola
1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple
1 can (14.5 or 16 oz) red tart pitted cherries in water
1 cup chopped raw pecans

Directions

  1. Place Jell-O in large bowl. Pour boiling water over it until dissolved.
  2. Stir in Coca-Cola. Refrigerate until partially firm.
  3. Place cherries and juice in blender. Pulse or blend a few times to lightly chop cherries
  4. Once Jell-O mixture has thickened, stir in the cherries and it’s juice, the pineapple and it’s juice, and the pecans.
  5. Pour into mold and refrigerate until set.

Liver Sausage Pineapple

Ingredients

1 pound liver sausage
1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire juice
1 ¼ cup mayonnaise, sliced stuffed olives
2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin, and a Pineapple top

Directions

  1. Mix sausage, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 cup mayo in a bowl.
  2. Chill, and shape around a jelly glass
  3. Next, make the “frosting” mixture
  4. Soften 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin in 2 tablespoons cold water. Dissolve over hot water, add 1 cup mayonnaise; chill.
  5. Frost “pineapple” with the frosting mixture , score, and stud with sliced stuffed olives
  6. Top with real pineapple top.

Summer Salad Pie

Ingredients

1 pkg (3oz) lemon-flavored gelatin

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

1 tbsp vinegar, ½ tsp salt

1 ½ cups boiling water

Few drops of Tabasco sauce

Few drops Worcestershire sauce

Dash pepper

½ cup each chopped celery and pimento-stuffed olives

¼ cup chopped onion

Pie Shell (buy a pre-made at the store)

Tuna Salad (below)

 

Directions

  1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in tomato sauce, vinegar, and seasonings.
  2. Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in celery, olives, and onion. Pour into cooled Cheese Pie Shell. Chill thoroughly. Spoon Tuna Salad on top of pie.

 

Ingredients-Tuna Salad

1 can (6 ½ oz) drained tuna

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp minced onion

1 cup diced celery

Salt, Paprika

Mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Lightly mix tuna, lemon juice, onion, and celery.
  2. Season with salt and paprika to taste. Chill.
  3. Just before serving, drain and mix in just enough mayonnaise to moisten.

Provincial Macaroni Salad

Ingredients

1 box macaroni and cheese
1 (12 oz.) can luncheon meat or ½ lb. bologna
¾ c. celery
½ c. Miracle Whip
1/3 c. Kraft French dressing
¼ c. sweet pickle relish
1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion

Directions

  1. Prepare macaroni and cheese. Add other ingredients and chill before serving.

Twinkie Dog 

Ingredients

Twinkies

Hot Dogs (cooked)

Mustard

 

Directions

  1. Unwrap Twinkies, slice in half lengthwise
  2. Insert hot dog
  3. Add mustard

SpaghettiOs pizza

Ingredients

1 can SpaghettiOs

1 cheap frozen pizza (any will do)

 

Directions

  1. Bake frozen pizza in oven per directions
  2. Heat SpaghettiOs on stove per instructions
  3. Drain SpaghettiOs in colander
  4. Spoon SpaghettiOs on baked pizza

 

Canned Cranberry Sauce with Pineapple and Olives

Ingredients

5 cans of jellied cranberries

1 pineapple (or a can of sliced pineapple)

Pimento Olives to garnish

1 ½ cups boiling water

 

Directions

  1. Open cans of cranberry sauce and plunk onto plate/dish (keeping the shape of the can)
  2. Grill up some sliced pineapple, and add one to the top of each cranberry pile.
  3. Place a toothpick in each pineapple hole, and add an olive on top

 

Triple Play Warmer

Ingredients

1 can split-pea soup
1 can tomato soup
1 can beef broth

Directions

  1. Stir together the split-pea soup, the tomato soup, and the beef broth.
  2. Heat it up; most likely bring to a boil, and enjoy?

 

Spam ‘n’ Lima Beans

Ingredients

2 cans Spam

1 bag of Lima beans

Parmesian cheese

 

Directions

  1. Open cans of Spam
  2. Boil yourself up some Lima Beans
  3. Add Parmesian

 

V-8 A La Mode

Ingredients

1 Can V-8 Juice

Lime sherbert

cinnamon

 

Directions

  1. Poor V-8 Juice into long glass
  2. Add Sherbert
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon on top

 

Flying Jacob 

Ingredients

4 Chicken fillets (or one grilled chicken)
1 tbs Chili Sauce Ketchup
1 package of Bacon, sliced
3 dl Cream (1.2 cups), preferably double
1 cube of Stock, preferably chicken
2 dl (1 cup) sliced Leek
1 dl (1/2 cup) Peanuts
1 sliced Banana (can be excluded)
3 tsp yellow Curry Powder
Oil for frying
Rice

Directions

  1. If necessary, rinse the chicken. Slice and fry together with the bacon and leek until it begins to crisp, add the cream.
  2. Let the sauce simmer, season with curry powder, chili sauce and pepper, taste, and if needed, add salt or stock.
  3. Finnish with adding the sliced banana if using, also sprinkle over the peanuts. Serve with rice

 

Pizza Bagel

Ingredients

Bagels
Cream Cheese
Pizza (baked)
Directions

  1. Generously spread cream cheese on bagel
  2. Carefully place a slice of pizza between the top and bottom halves of the bagel
  3. Enjoy?!

 

Jellied Tongues

Ingredients

3 teaspoons gelatin
5 tablespoons hot water
1 cup sheep’s tongues or slices of ox tongue
3 slices onion
2 teaspoons vinegar
1 hard-boiled egg
Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Dissolve gelatin in hot water
  2. Boil half liquid with flavouring
  3. Remove, add gelatin and remainder of liquid, salt and pepper.
  4. Cool.
  5. Skin and slice tongues
  6. Arrange slices of hard-boiled egg then tongues in a mould
  7. Add thickening jelly and chill
  8. Un-mould on lettuce
  9. Serve garnished with celery curls and radishes
  10. Carefully place a slice of pizza between the top and bottom halves of the bagel
  11. Enjoy?!
